The existing Transport Plan for Brisbane Strategic Directions (Transport Plan) was established to guide the evolution of the city’s transport network over the next 25 years.

The Transport Plan aims to ensure Brisbane remains connected, liveable and prosperous into the future. In an effort to achieve this, an associated Implementation Plan has also been developed which aligns the themes, outcomes and strategic directions of the Transport Plan with actions to achieve the intent of the Transport Plan.

As part of a key initiatives in the plan, Council identified a need to develop a MaaS strategy. The delivery of this strategy will outline a path to MaaS for Brisbane and
promote increased flexibility in Brisbane’s transport networks and services.

This strategy looks to enable MaaS in Brisbane and ensures that Council is MaaS ready, the potential benefits of MaaS have
been realised, and by preparing to be a willing and active contributor to the overall ecosystem.  Also, Council are positioned to benefit from these outcomes for both itself and its citizens.

My Trip Advisory were engaged by Aurecon (on behalf of BCC) as a Mobility as a Service advisor to support research into global MaaS initiatives and to work as part of a co-design team to prepare the strategy, for Brisbane City Council , along with an associated implementation plan.

Six key priorities were developed as part of this Strategy and included prioritised recommendations for successful implementation.

"A business strategy creates a vision and direction for the whole organisation. It is important that all people within a company have clear goals and are following the direction, or mission of the organisation"
